"Pick a place, any place on the globe. That's where we'll go!"
Don't you miss travel nowadays? The excitement of leaving the safety of home, the luxury of temporary lodging, the hesitation before trying strange food — don't you crave it all? This song is a musical expression of this deep travel-thirst.
Cosmonkey and I come from distant parts of the world. We wish we could explore unfamiliar terrains of each other's countries, experience each other's weathers, and simply go about Browsing Earth! We came together in this collaboration to give voice to our shared wanderlust — and oh my, what a sweet voice it is! Can you deny her seductive, promising calls to step out into the faraway lands?
This fresh collaboration between Sto Nii and me is about all that you want, but can't have: the forbidden Foxglove, a bell-shaped beauty, so attractive that you crave its sweet poison. First in the album 'Floral Bumps' by Sto Nii, this sexy beat seduces you with a smooth simple sax melody and sinister guitar licks. Filled with playful jazzy undertones, Foxglove leaves you craving for those soothing piano chords.
The other day I was walking on the street when the clouds above me burst open to shoot golden rays of warm sunshine. The street around me came alive and everything seemed sharper. Trees glistened and water sparkled under this heavenly spotlight. It was a captivating sight. Utterly mesmerizing! That scene gave me a rush of energy. It felt as though sunshine with its warm colors was painting a smile on my face.
I made this song to capture how mesmerized I was by a bit of sunshine on a grey winter day. It reignites all those warm feelings when I listen to it. I am so happy to be releasing this song with Aviary Day on their Winter Compilation. I hope, when you listen to this song, it conveys the same pleasant emotions
This musical and playful collaboration between eaup and I, Fairground, is inspired by childhood memories of being in a carefree environment with the sole intention of having fun! With every guitar pluck, this melody captures the eagerness of walking through the colorful exhibits at fairs.
Before 2020, there was so much movement around me that I would forget to stand still and take a moment to breathe. This past year has been a giant breather from my dynamic life. I made this song to reflect on this new slow-moving, long-lasting stillness. I tried to create a sense of nostalgia and tension by combining organic elements and static noise sounds. The ‘static’ sound in the intro and the eventual drop with soothing Rhodes represent a zoning out moment, a sense of hovering.
Imagine an evening on a vacation, the calmness of the natural beauty around, the pleasure of drinking tea in the wild, the coziness of a tent by a campfire. This song is an ode to such vacation dusks. Hoffy Beats and I collaborated on this track to cherish our mutual love of beautiful dusks in Norway.
So, on this rainy day, I was stuck in the terrace area of a café. It hadn’t been raining earlier that day. Suddenly, it got a bit gloomy and the sky started pouring down. Everyone on the streets scattered to take shelter or cover themselves up. Wet, gray weather like this always puts me in a low mood. So, there I was, melancholically sipping on my coffee, hoping the weather would clear up.
Just then, something else caught my attention. From the corner of my eye, I saw a young girl casually walking down the street with a red umbrella over her head. She was subtly skipping steps in the rain and there was a certain joy in her appearance. She seemed to be unperturbed by the weather and was having a great day. I wondered about all that could have gone right in her day. This made me think back to my own day and all the reasons I had to smile. So, there I was sipping on my coffee on a rainy day with a smile on my face, thanks to the Red Umbrella Girl.
